A case of mistaken identity saw Mohale Motaung trending on social media as he got dragged, insulted and slammed.

Mohale, who is married to Somizi Mhlongo and is an actor and model, was minding his own business when he got dragged into a fight that wasn't his.

Peeps mistook Mohale for another social media user with the same name, this one apparently being a police officer.

The man allegedly asked why South African women couldn't look like American women, and soon he got one response after the other.

In their eagerness to tell the man where to get off, people started using the wrong tag and Somizi's bae got attacked instead.
