Her post inspired South Africans who applauded Mseleku for her spirit of giving. A former waitress, Langelihle Greener, saw the post and opened up about what it was liked being blessed by a generous patron.

Greener wrote:

"I used to be a wait tables, right through high school and even recently, two years back, in the evenings, to supplement my day income. I know the feeling that comes with serving a table and when the bill is settled being surprised with a great tip.
"You get this surge of gratitude and validation that runs through you, that I can't put to words now. I honestly remember each and every family, couple who gave me more than I expected. My husband and I always tip at least 50 percent, 10 percent if service is horrendous. But in truth we've hardly ever had to.
"I accept your challenge. And thank you for being a champion spirit in doing this. I wish we could've seen the face of the person who served you as they opened the bill! Amazing. Nangomso Nqobile."

Briefly.co.za previously reported on a woman who gave a waitress a whopping R18 000 tip because she believed in her dream.

The cash enabled the waitress to return to school to finish matric and pursue her dream of becoming a paramedic.
