Mihlali didn't read much into the attention, laughing it off when some negative comments were thrown her way.
Earlier, Mihlali had to fend off criticism from a man on social media after she said she feels more comfortable overseas. There, she can wear skimpy outfits without the kind of fear she feels in Mzansi.
Mihlali wrote she feels totally uncomfortable wearing an outfit that may be a little revealing when in SA.
Being overseas allows her the freedom to wear the shortest of shorts and even a G-string swimming costume, making her so much more comfortable in other countries than her own.
After her comments were viewed by many, it caused a major debate, which in turn prompted Mihlali to delete her post. One of the responses Mihlali received was from a gentleman suggesting that perhaps she was the problem and not our country.
He went on to say that she needed to be comfortable in her own skin, irrespective of which country she was in. This comment saw Mihlali come back with revenge. Mihlali’s reply was that does it make sense to be comfortable in your own skin elsewhere but not at home. She added that she is not the problem and they both know who is!
