A viral clip from last year has resurfaced, exposing the way an airport employee carelessly handles cargo from a plane.

The accompanying caption claims that the person responsible is from South African Airways:

“BLACK South African woman at South African Airlines destroying luggage of flight passengers! Boikot SAA!!!! SAA is a racist BBBEE Enterprise and their workers are disrespectful!”

Briefly.co.za gathered that the footage is actually from Hawaiian Air, originally posted in an article from the Daily Mail.

SAA responded to questions on the incident, revealing that their employees only handle baggage at check-in counters.

Once your bags pass this point, accredited companies take over and handle the rest of the process.

Spokesperson Tlali Tlali commented that the state-owned entity had nothing to do with the controversial incident:

"We are satisfied that this has nothing to do with SAA or any of its service providers responsible for ground handling."
