Barbadian singer, songwriter, fashion designer, actress and businesswoman, Rihanna, took to Instagram on Sunday to tease fans about her upcoming album.
She posted a video of a dog bobbing its head to the song, Jump Around by House of Pain and captioned the post, “Update: Me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it.”
According to CNN, R9 is the title of Rihanna’s next album, which she has been hinting about for a while now.

It’s been nearly four years since the Barbadian singer launched her last album, Anti. Since then, Rihanna has been juggling other projects such as her multimillion-dollar make-up line, Fenty Beauty and her newly launched lingerie range, Savage X Fenty.
Her fans were happy to know that the album is now finished. Her Instagram post gathered more than 2 million likes in the first six hours, and now has 10.3m likes and 108k comments.

R9 is a reference to Rihanna’s ninth studio album. The singer told Vogue in October about her album. She said: “I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album.”
“It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae but you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks,” she added.
“Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in, I never leaves. It’s always the same high. Even though I’ve explored other genres of music, it was time to go back to something that I haven’t really homed in on completely for a body of work.”
Meanwhile, four days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that the Barbadian singer, songwriter, fashion designer, actress and businesswoman, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has the knack of making more and more money.
Apparently, Amazon paid $25 million (around R358 900 000) for the rights to a Rihanna documentary,according to The Hollywood Reporter. Amazon has not officially made comment supporting this report.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the documentary is directed by Peter Berg and gives a peek of insight into Rihanna’s life. It shows Rihanna’s growth in the business world from her as a popstar to the founder of brands such as Fenty Beauty and Savage Fenty.
