In 2019, so many graduates' stories surfaced online that inspired South Africans, from couples who graduated together to a single mom who bagged her LLB degree.

This year, several stories about graduates went viral for all the right reasons and Briefly.co.za took a look at the top five.
1. Mzansi impressed as graduate aces medical school
Makhanani Baloyi has graduated after years of hard work, dedication and Mzansi is here for every moment of it. The stunning woman was showered with love after she posted about her inspiring achievement.
2. Gorgeous local couple graduates from university together with style
A couple that studies together, stays together. One couple stunned by looking spectacular at their graduation, showing off their achievement in style.
Twitter user, @LMagagane, shared snaps of the attractive couple and said they summarised South Africa's graduation season.
The two are apparently from NWU Mafikeng, and if they are chosen to represent graduates, it would be a good decision.
3. University graduate lands security guard job at former high school
When the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations results came out in 2011, Ernest Kipchumba Maiki attained a B-plus from little-known PCEA Kuinet High School.
That grade was all he wanted to secure a place at the University of Eldoret and after four years on campus, he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Statistics.
Maiki started applying for jobs but he struggled to land anything. He ended up applying for a security guard job at his previous high school and was successful.
4. From teenage mother to graduate: Beautiful woman secures LLB degree
Earlier this month, Briefly.co.za reported on a story that was shared online by a lady called Bongie Diamond.
The lady shared the inspiring story of a single mother, who managed to bag her law degree all while raising a beautiful her son.
5. Married couple graduates with PhD degrees on same day, made history
Drs Wouter and Louzanne Bam - a married couple - made history at the Stellenbosch University.
They became the first married couple to graduate with PhD degrees in engineering at the same graduation ceremony.
