Fans of celebs such as Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Burna Boy saw them take one swipe after the other, aimed at each other.

Although none of the 'beefs' actually turned into real violence, one of them came close to it, or at least gave the appearance of coming close to a physical fight.

Briefly.co.za took a moment to briefly explore these beefs and how they entertained South Africa.

Cassper Nyovest and AKA

These two have been at it for years. It all started in 2014, with a simple tweet. Cassper claimed one of his songs is the best and AKA had something to say about it.

Since then, things have escalated and it does not look like the rappers are going to make peace any time soon.

Cassper Nyovest and Prince Kaybee

These guys got into a beef over the sizes of their arms. Although it seems like something trivial to others, the musos have been tearing at each other for a while now.

Prince Kaybee even suggested that he and Mufasa work together on music, but there doesn't seem to be any chance of that happening.

Cassper Nyovest and Lerato Kganyago

It's not uncommon for men and women to take a stab at each other, especially on social media. Lerato and Cass took things to a new level and got pretty mean about it.

Earlier this year, the pair had a Twitter spat that had fans reaching for the popcorn and 'taking a seat' in the comment section.

The spat apparently started when a fan was in disbelief that Cassper's latest track, Move For Me, didn't get featured Metro FM’s Top 40 count down yet. Read more:

Lerato commented and one thing led to another. Soon she called Cassper childish.

AKA and Burna Boy

The feud between AKA and Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, started with the Xenophobia (or Afrophobia) and the violent reaction to foreigners on South African soil.

Burna Boy expressed his unhappiness and urged foreigners to defend themselves. He also responded to a tweet by local rapper AKA, telling him that he better have security the next time they meet.

Furthermore, Burna Boy said he would never set foot in SA until things changed, and eventually, a concert to unite Africa got cancelled because of the tension.

Ntsiki Mazwai and Bonang Matheba

Ntsiki has been taking swipes at Bonang for ages, and for the most part, the entertainer takes it in her stride.

However, she has limits and after Ntsiki claimed Zodwa Wabantu is more lit than Bonang is, she warned Ntsiki about having the same vibes when they meet in person.

Bonang has been a target for Ntsiki Mazwai's discussions on black excellence for years.

Prince Kaybee and TNS

Things between these two musos seem to have come to a peaceful end. They had a falling out, allegedly over a side chick, that caused the launch of the album they worked on together to be postponed.

A lot of drama played out behind closed doors and not only did Kaybee take back the new car he gave TNS, but he also put on hold the album the was meant to release because there are tracks on it that he worked on.

Things were quite messy for a while. Fortunately, this beef had a happy ending and will not outlast 2019.
