Here are some of our favourite moments from the year of 'The Zulu Man with Some Power', in no particular order:

Nasty C drops new EP featuring various artists

Recently, the muso released his new EP, Lift As You Rise, and it featured a number of other musicians such as Gemini Major and Tellaman. Fans love it.

To prove another collab, he proudly posted a clip of T.I confirming their work. He shared the news with fans and got a little bit emotional about it, as could be expected.

Nasty also faced negativity with Freeworld Music, who have been trying to claim R4.5 million in damages and unpaid services from Nasty C and Mabala Noise since 2018. They claim his name belongs to them.

He's not worried about it though. In fact, he made it clear that he finds the entire situation a complete joke and isn’t worried about it one bit.

The rapper won a GQ’s Man of the Year award. He was the youngest person who ever received this prestigious award and walked away as Musician of the Year accolade.

Nasty's super popular song, SMA, which features Rowlene, scooped the title for 2019's most-sold hip-hop track. This is no small feat for sure.

The award was given to him at the Universal Music Group South Africa awards ceremony.

The rapper's love life is also something that enjoyed success - he and his bae, Sammie, celebrated 7 years of being together.

Nasty thanked her for always being there for him and for being the first person to sing his songs back to him.

He went further and even thanks her mom because without her Sammie wouldn't have been in his life.

Nasty C's tattoos have a very personal story and meaning behind them, and he shared it on social media.

He added an eye, a 'V' and a sun on one hand and the word 'IVYSON' on the other. This is also the name of his latest tour, and all are in honour of his late mother, whose name was Ivy.

It is a beautiful way for the young rapper to have his mom be part of his success.

Nasty also showed that he has other talents. He showed off with a cool diamond Zulu-inspired chain which he made himself. Fans were blown away.

As if all of these achievements weren't enough, Apple Music revealed the top artists on their charts for South Africa and Africa and Nasty has topped many of them.

On top of that, Nasty C's album, Strings and Bling, went triple-platinum about 5 months ago.

He also bagged the Best Produced Album of the Year for 2019 at the SAMAs for it.

Earlier in the year, the young musician also made Spotify SA’s top 3 local artists list.

With so much achieved this year, we can't wait to see what else Nasty gets up to!
