1. POPPIE NONGENA (31 JANUARY)

This drama revolves around an isiXhosa mother who is trying to find stability for her family during the time black South Africans were forced to settle in apartheid-designated homelands.

2. KNUCKLE CITY (28 FEBRUARY)

This film follows Dudu Nyakama, an ageing boxer still fighting for his big break. He enlists the help of his reformed gangster brother to help him navigate the unsavoury side of the boxing world.

3. SERIOUSLY SINGLE (1 MAY)

This movie tells the story of a woman who's always been in serious relationships, but never married. After suffering through yet another break-up, her best friend convinces her to face what she fears most - life as a single woman.

8. RIDING WITH SUGAR (22 JUNE)

This coming-of-age story follows a young refugee on his journey to find love and a chance to create a better life in Cape Town.

10. NEW MATERIAL (2 OCTOBER)

The sequel to Material promises to be just as hilarious as the original. In New Material Cassim Kaif (Riaad Moosa) works on balancing his career as a stand-up comedian with his faith, his community and his family.
