The #ImStaying group has become a place where South Africans can share inspiring stories and connect with each other, regardless of race, gender or age.

Two women, Chante le Roux and MmaKhanyalesedi KL, shared photos of themselves embracing other South African cultures by braiding their hair and it inspired social media users.

Le Roux posted a stunning snap of herself, writing:

"I got braids over the weekend and I am so in love with it. I love South Africa and all the different cultures."

MmaKhanyalesedi KL also posted a couple of selfies showing her sporting braids.

She wrote:

"I must be honest, I love braids but goodness the pain that I put myself through each and every time. Much respect for those who change styles every two weeks. I understand now why hitting your head is necessary. Guys it's soooooo itchy and I don't know why it always start when I want to sleep, I am like a mad woman hitting myself on the head. But, as I said I love it and I would do it again. I feel comfortable and that is why I am a stayer."
