Weekly Wrap: #YolandaChallenge & Miss Universe's salad joke goes viral

1. The #YolandaChallenge goes viral: 5 hilarious memes shared online

A viral video of a man catching his wife hiding underneath her alleged side piece's bed caught the attention of South Africans.

The video gathered 115 000 views in just a couple of hours and soon #YolandaChallenge started trending.

Social media users started sharing photos of women hiding under beds and tables as they poked fun at the unfaithful wife. Twitter user, @RealWonderful1, wrote about the challenge:

"Welcome to South Africa where everything is a joke #YolandaChallenge."

2. Social media tear into woman who denies she looks like Sho Madjozi

When you make South African Twitter angry it will take a lot to get folks to calm down again. That was made clear when a lady from abroad didn't agree that she looks like Sho Madjozi.

She said that she doesn't know who Sho is but people are wrong - all they have in common is their light skin and preference in hairstyles.

Eish. This rubbed South Africans the wrong way for some reason. Briefly.co.za noticed that peeps really tore into the lady.

Many peeps felt she was being ungrateful for the compliment that was paid to her and that she had a bad attitude.

3. Woman caught by hubby hiding under lover's bed, video goes viral

This is the original video clip that sparked the #YolandaChallenge. It showed a man finding his wife hiding under her alleged lover's bed and caused a stir on social media.

The footage, which has been circulated widely online, shows a man entering a property allegedly being rented by his wife's side bae.

According to The Citizen, the wife left her work at 4pm but she did not go home immediately. Her hubby then went to a room believed to be rented by his wifey's side piece.

It was not revealed how her husband came to know about her whereabouts. The hubby filmed himself walking through the house, seeing items that belonged in his house.

Cassper Nyovest and AKA are two Mzansi celebs who are in competition when it comes to their car collections – both of theirs are jaw-dropping. Fans watched peeps go green with envy all year as Mzansi celebs flashed off their new lush rides.

Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi showed that she is a cool customer even in the pressure cooker beauty pageant events.

In a short space of time, Tunzi became known for her strength, determination and beauty.

Tunzi took to Twitter and showcased her sense of humour in a festive social media post. The beauty queen shared a cheeky joke and revoked the status of the popular bean and mayo salad.

South Africans played along and the post went viral.
