- Tito Mboweni posted a snap of himself dining in Tzaneen on Saturday
- The minister of finance said he was "deep in discussion" with Tom Khosa
- However, all social media users could focus on was his choice of clothing and the open bottle of wine hidden under the table
Tito Mboweni just can't win with his fashion choices. If Mzansi is not roasting his footwear, they're zooming in on his hipster-style jeans.
The Minister of Finance was enjoying a meal on Saturday at a restaurant in Tzaneen. Mboweni took to Twitter to share a photo of the social moment.
He captioned the photo:
"In deep conversation with Ntate Tom Khosa. @MountainCafe, Makgobaskloof, Tzaneen. 28 December, 2019."
Social media users zoomed in on the photo and not only saw the minister's denims were ripped, but he was also allegedly hiding a bottle of wine underneath the table.
Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux shared Mboweni's photo and wrote:
"From the shoes to the jeans to Bra Tito hiding wine under the table from Panyaza Lesufi. #AlcoholFreeSA."
It's not the first time South Africans dragged the Finance Minister online. Briefly.co.za previously reported that after his visit to the capital city of Rwanda, Kigali, Mboweni returned home to complain about how dirty Johannesburg is in comparison to Kigali, and South Africans weren't impressed.
