- A man, who was simply identified as Percy, posted snaps of his new crib online
- Percy revealed he built the home himself in 2019 and added it was one of his "proudest projects"
- The home owner's post inspired South Africans who dream of owning their own property too
On Sunday, a man, who was identified as Percy (@PercyVA) took to Twitter to show off before and after photos of his new house.
The man, who hails from Groblersdal according to his profile, said the house is one of his proudest projects.
Although 2019 was not all good for the home owner, at least he's ending it on a high note.
"2019 hasn't been that good to me but this has been one of my proudest projects" - he captioned the photos.
Percy's new crib won over South Africans - not only for its design but for being a symbol of hope for those who did not think it was possible to build one's own house in current economy.
Twitter user, @Arniemas1, commented:
"Wow! Impressive design upgrade ma man."
Another tweep, @Maphumzah, wrote:
"Congratulations Percy, you have every reason to be proud... This house is beautiful."
Earlier this year, Briefly.co.za reported on a similar inspiring story. A man wowed Mzansi after it was revealed he built his dream home with only R175 000.
The man, TeeJay Mapaila, took to Twitter to express his excitement that after some time, he finally completed his new home, filling his heart with joy.
He says it was a long-term project and took about four years to organise and save up, but the building itself took just five months to complete.
