On Thursday, Khandani Msibi took to Twitter to shade the African National Congress' upcoming 108th birthday celebrations.

Msibi's post read:

"What is the ANC going to say during the January 8 celebration? Do they even have something to celebrate?"

The tweet sparked a reaction from social media users, who openly voiced their opinions on Msibi's post.

One of the people who reacted was none other than Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula.

Mbaweezy assured Msibi and social media users that despite difficult times, the ruling party indeed still has something to celebrate.

In another post, Mbalula added that what they have to celebrate is "astonishing".

However, social media users wanted 'Mr Fix' to clarify what exactly the ANC has to celebrate.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported Mbalula posted a rare snap of his wife and kids on Twitter. The minister wished Mzansi a happy New Year with the family photo and it won social media users over.
