Former Ukhozi FM DJ Vukani ‘Chillie M’ Masinga passed away on Thursday afternoon, 2 January.

Briefly.co.za reported that the DJ died from natural causes. A close friend of the star, Isaac Sithole, confirmed the news and told TshisaLIVE that the radio personality died at a Johannesburg hospital.

Sithole added that the radio host was rushed to hospital on Thursday morning and passed away later that day.

“He died from natural causes. The family plan to bury him next week Saturday."

Tributes have been pouring in for the late DJ as South Africans expressed their sadness.

Local celebs were just as upset by the news and also took to social media to share how moved they were by the loss of someone they looked up to.

In related news, it was earlier reported that MFR Souls, the popular Amapiano duo, were in a serious car accident while on their way to a gig.

The group was rushed to the hospital and are recovering at Thelle Mogoerane Hospital. The accident took place on New Year's Day and fellow muso Prince Kaybee shared news about it on social media.
