- Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch has been linked with moves away, but has struggled to find the back of the net
- Lorch has failed to register a goal or assist during this Premier Soccer League season
- Fans have recently had their say on the former PSL player of the season
What a difference a season can make.
Last season, Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch was the toast of the town as he was scoring goals for fun.
As a result of his tremendous form, Lorch picked up the Absa Premiership player of the season award.
However, the Bucs marksman has struggled to replicate the form from last season.
KickOFF.com shared an interesting graphic via Facebook recently, which highlighted the fact that Lorch hasn't opened his league account in the goal-scoring or assist department.
Despite this, Lorch's suitors have seemingly not been swayed by the stats as Briefly.co.za reported on the interest of Club Brugge.
Briefly.co.za was curious to gauge the reaction from the Pirates supporters.
Andrew Lesiba Kekana shared a lighthearted response:
"Since they called you Moses (moshe) Gods are punishing him Moses was white person they cant have a black moses."
Ncedo Chewana BucsKing backed the youngster:
"The boy will come back stronger...he just need a coach who will motivate him and put more pressure on him... unfortunately he didn't get that under Mokoena...but then I believe in JZ, he didn't play all the games to begin with."
S'bu Mathe questioned Lorch's player of the season award:
"Pitso was right about consistency! The PSL robbed Zwane, someone who had been consistent for 3 years on the trot, of the POTY Award, over someone who just had a good few months. These are the results."
Ndonga Nhlakah Shamase Ayandah shared another comical response:
"Lol. One season wonder. He's finally showing his true colours, and the only thing he'll celebrate this season is the song."
