Actress Mona Monyane has not only lost her daughter, but she also lost her remains in a fire recently.

She's been through a difficult time and no one would blame her for feeling more than a little bitter.

However, Mona has come to a point in her life where she will not be negative any more. Instead, she will focus on all the good that she has been given.

In 2017, Mona's second daughter with Khulu Skenjana, Amani, passed away at only 7 days old.

Recently, they had a house fire and Amani's ashes were part of the losses the family suffered.

For Mona, this was the hardest lesson in letting go. During an episode of Millicent Mashile and Innocent Sadiki's web series, centTWINZ, Mona opened up about how she felt.

"Maybe me focusing on all the negative that has happened in my life is attracting more negativity into my life. Maybe if I look at how I have overcome.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Mona will, from now on, be more positive.

"Maybe if I look at how I am so gifted. Maybe if I look at how God has shined his favour onto my life, I will attract light. That is the path I am walking right now."
