This week, South Africans saw red when a man driving a Mercedes filled his car with petrol and sped off without paying, were surprised that football superstar Sadio Mane would walk around with a broken phone, amazed by Rick Ross' 109-room mansion, distressed by the accident that Amapiano hit-makers, MFR Souls, were involved in and amused by Uzalo’s Thobani Nzuza saying he won't date gogos.
The festive season is a special time of the year which is generally filled with happy times. Unfortunately, some are bearing the brunt of December and a controversial video served as another reminder of this.
Twitter user @pmcafrica shared a video which reveals how the driver of a luxury Mercedes-Benz drives off after filling up with petrol.
The unsavoury incident is said to have taken place at a Sasol petrol station in Durban.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the act understandably incensed those who viewed the footage. Many found the deed despicable and couldn't understand why a seemingly wealthy man would burden the helpless petrol attendant.
For a player who, according to The Guardian, earns £150 000 per week (which is more than R2.7 million) in the Premier League, it is extremely strange to see him carrying around an iPhone with a broken screen.
That is the story of Liverpool star Sadio Mane who was spotted carrying an iPhone with a cracked screen before Liverpool walloped Leicester City 4-0 on Boxing Day.
American rapper, Rick Ross, is one of the most prominent rappers in the world with 10 albums, 4 Grammy nominations, his own record label and one of the most powerful names in the music industry.
Born William Leonard Roberts II on 28 January 1976, Ross is reported to be worth around $40 million (R560 million) and is known as one of the wealthiest rappers in the world. The 42-year-old rapper was first signed to P. Diddy’s Ciroc Entertainment Company before he founded his own label, Maybach Music Group.
His home leaves many astounded and amazed, as well as a little bit jealous. It boasts with (allegedly) the biggest pool in the US and 109 rooms. What a wow.
Popular Amapiano duo, MFR Souls, survived a scary car accident on New Year. Tumelo Nedondwe and Tumelo Mabe and their manager were on their way to a gig when the accident happened.
The band members were taken to the nearest care facility and are now recovering in Thelle Mogoerane Hospital in Vosloorus, according to the Daily Sun. It's not yet clear what the severity of the men's injuries are.
Prince Kaybee, a fellow musician, was upset by the news and went to visit the men in hospital. He also shared the news with his fans on Facebook.
Thobani Nzuza is tired of explaining himself after people twist his words and misinterpret literally everything.
The 26-year-old actor plays the role of Khehla on SABC1’s drama-filled soapie, Uzalo. A rumour was going around clamming that Thobani’s into much older women.
Thobani’s character ended up dating his father’s wife, Gabisile, who is obviously not his mother but a much older woman.
Talking to Daily Sun, Thobani explained how frustrating it is when people assume that he is the same as his character – it’s a made-up show peeps, not based on his actual life.
As much as Thobani loves his role and wouldn’t trade it for anything, he made it clear that in real life he is very different to his character, especially with the dating much older woman part.
Thobani is currently single and is one hundred percent sure that when he’s ready for a relationship it’s not going to be with a gogo!
