- American rap star, T.I, has often expressed his wish to collaborate with African musicians
- He thinks that their talent aligns with his own
- In the list of artists he admires, T.I mentioned the likes of AKA, Nasty and Kwesta as SA stars he has musical connections with
T.I, American rapper of note, businessman and producer, has stated on more than one occasion that he would like to work with African artists.
He is a respected muso and when he says he likes someone's work, it should be taken as a huge compliment.
As reported on by SAHipHopMag, T.I also spoke about his interest in working with South African rappers.
Although Africa could make use of a boost in the form of even more collabs with US musicians, that's not why T.I wants to make it happen.
The rapper feels that his talent aligns well with the talents of Africans.
Briefly.co.za gathered that he mentioned a handful of Mzansi rappers he would like to work with, such as AKA, Kwesta and Nasty C.
"I align my talents with other talented people … I have relationships with Davido, AKA. I have connections and relationships with people in the music industry from Africa."
T.I has actually worked with Nasty C already, and their collab is expected to be dropped sometime in the new year.
This came after Nasty shared with his fans that T.I had complimented his music, calling it 'fye'. He shared a screenshot on Twitter of a message he received from T.I.
