9 International stars including Hemsworth brothers donate to Aus fires

- In an effort to help put out the blazing fires, international celebs have opened their wallets

- Stars such as Chris and Liam Hemsworth and Kylie Minogue all donated huge amounts of money

The world is looking on in worry as scorching fires are devastating Australia - millions of hectares of land have been destroyed.

According to The Guardian, 8.4 million hectares have been burnt, and at least 25 people have died as a result of the fires. Millions of animals are estimated to have perished in the blazes as well and extensive emergency rescue efforts are underway.

As the country continues to fight the blazing natural disaster, international celebs have been donating money for assistance.

Chris and Liam Hemsworth have announced that they (as a family) donated $1 million, Briefly.co.za learnt.

The Daily Mail reported that singer P!nk has donated $500 000. And according to gold1043, comedienne and actress Celeste Barber managed to raise more than $30 million.

Married couple, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, have also donated money to their homeland as well.

They gave $500 000 to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, as reported on by USAToday.

As the fires continue to ravage Australia, it is expected there will not be an end to the disaster for at least a few more weeks.

This is the worst fire season in the country's history.
