Mosimane has set his sights on bagging former Chiefs star Musona

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has signalled his intent during this January transfer window.

The Downs mentor has previously indicated his objective of adding two attacking players to his squad.

With various reports linking him with a move for Knowledge Musona, Mosimane reflected on the rumours.

Mosimane admitted: “Yes of course‚ why not if he’s available."

TimesLIVE reported that Mosimane lavished praise on the former Kaizer Chiefs star.

Mosimane added, "He’s the kind of player that I would take because he scores a lot of goals‚ huh."

The Brazilians coach likened Musona to his fellow Zimbabwean counterpart Khama Billiat - for his ability and attitude.

The 29-year-old was in glorious form for the Amakhosi during the 2010/ 2011 season when he finished as top scorer.

Although Musona is still contracted to Belgian side Anderlecht, it's been reported that this will be terminated imminently.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that the “Smiling Assassin” was linked with a return to South Africa, but Musona wasn't sure if any of the PSL clubs would be able to buy him out of his current contract.
