Maphorisa has been putting out hit after hit and dominating the dance floors all over South Africa.

As he grew more and more popular, Maphorisa gained supporters and fans and he ended 2019 on a good note - people wanted his song with Kabza Da Small to be the song of the year.

2020 kicked off on an amazing note as his hit track, Phoyisa, did so well that it started a social media challenge. Briefly.co.za reported that the #PhoyisaChallenge got people grooving and loving his music even more.

While the rest of Mzansi is now seeing his value, Maphorisa knew all along what he was worth.

During an interview with Zkhiphani, Maphorisa says he understands why people underestimate him, but they should take him seriously.

"I understand. Other people don't know me. They only know me now so I have to always remind people that 'Yo, I am a big deal. Don't take me lightly.' "

Well, Maphorisa has every right to be confident - even rapper AKA called him a GOAT - Greatest Of All Time.
