Cassper Nyovest had a very productive 2019 and is aiming for more of the same in the new year.
He did have ups and downs and some issues with fellow musicians, but it looks like he might be ready to move on.
The rapper wants to get fans excited again and mentioned collaborations between artists - it sounds like he's all about unity.
Taking to Twitter, Cassper said:
"I pray and wish every collabo we do this year connects with the people. We need more teamwork and less egos. Get the fans excited again."
Briefly.co.za gathered that according to ZAlebs, Cassper had to defend his verse on Phoyisa, which is about addressing gender-based violence.
In particular, Cassper out against rape and abuse. Some people found his verse to be way too vulgar, but he says it shouldn't be listened to with family in the first place.
"I get that my part is vulgar, even though the content is about being against rape, but were you planning to play the song with your family with the song going vula ftsek heyi?"
Other fans were happy to see their favourite stand up for women and touch on a sensitive and serious issue.
