Pupil who bagged 6 distinctions goes viral on Mzansi social media

- A young lady, who was simply identified as Lwazi, has inspired thousands online

- She revealed that she bagged six distinctions in the matric exams in 2019

- Lwazi said although maths was tough, she managed to get 91% for the subject

A pupil, who was only identified as Lwazi, raved about her academic success after the #MatricResults2019 were released.

Lwazi revealed she managed to get six distinctions and is now getting ready to pursue a BSc degree in Computer Science at Wits.

"Ndim lo. So proud of myself," she captioned a screenshot of her academic achievement.

In another post, Lwazi shared screenshot which shows she received an impressive 91% in mathematics.

She captioned the post:m

"What an uphill battle Maths has been. I have taken the biggest Ls during the year but I made it."

Social media users were inspired by the young lady's outstanding academic achievement and many applauded her hard work. Lwazi even got a shout-out from Tumi Sole.

On Tuesday, Briefly.co.za that a top matric, Tshilidza Manwadu, was among a number of learners who were invited to the 2019 top achievers' breakfast with Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga.

Manduwa, who attended the Mbilwi Secondary School in Limpopo, opened up about her support structure last year and how her dad's death motivated her to work harder.
