- Four of Slikour's platform's flagship programmes have been picked up by the channel
After many challenges in his life, media mogul, Slikour, has finally nailed a massive TV deal with Channel O for this year.
The rapper-turned-media personality, who presented the online music platform, SlikourOnLife, announced this week that several of the platform’s flagship programmes have been picked up by the channel.
According to TshisaLIVE, the shows include Catching Waves, Rhyme and Reason (with rapper Reason), Speedsta In Da Park and Balcony Interview, hosted by Slikour himself.
Slikour reflected on the difficulties he faced to get to this point. He then said it was hard to believe it all started seven years ago with a hand-held phone.
Slikour had faced it all, from being banned to being labelled as “unpredictable”.
“I really started this with my hand-held phone 7 years ago not knowing where SlikourOnLife would go. Back then TV said I’m unpredictable, my , my music was banned at one stage, my honesty got me blackballed.”
Slikour acknowledged that a lot of work still needed to be done, but he was proud of what he had achieved.
“As always a lot of work still needs to be done, this is not the benchmark but a mark in our story and probably history for a South African independent online platform and satellite TV.”
Meanwhile, about a week ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi’s cool guy, Siyabonga 'Slikour' Metane, has more than some money moves coming in 2020, he’s expecting another baby!
Slikour has expressed many times that being a father is one of his greatest achievements and joys. Briefly.co.za learnt that Slikour and his long-time bae and wife, Melissa Metane, are expecting.
Melissa and Slikour got married in 2017. Even though this baby will be their first as a couple, both Melissa and Slikour have children from previous relationships.
