- Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer achieved a personal milestone in Tuesday's victory over Polokwane City
- The 4-1 result was the biggest victory of Zinnbauer's career
- Previously, the German's most convincing victories were 3-0 in the German and Swiss leagues
Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has barely been in South Africa for a month and already making history.
The German achieved a personal milestone on Tuesday when the Buccaneers crushed Polokwane City by four goals to one.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Zinnbauer couldn't wait for the Christmas break to be completed as he was eager to get his players onto the park.
Based on Pirates' convincing performance, perhaps the break did them good.
KickOFF.com also noted that the 4-1 result was the biggest victory of Zinnbauer's career.
Zinnbauer boasts experience in the Bundesliga as well as the Swiss Super League, but none of his previous sides were able to score more than three goals.
While at the helm at Hamburger in the Bundesliga, Zinnbauer's side romped to a 3-0 victory over SC Paderborn in 2015.
He then achieved the same scoreline while in charge of Swiss side FC St. Gallen in 2016.
Zinnbauer took over from beleaguered interim coach Rhulani Mokwena and the difference has been stark.
The German tactician has yet to taste defeat since taking over, boasting a record of two wins and one draw.
