Shaggy has revealed that he was approached to feature on Rihanna's upcoming album.
The long-anticipated album is to be called R9.
The legendary dancehall artist said he was asked to audition in order to qualify to feature.
He declined the offer.

51-year-old Shaggy told Daily Star, "They approached me for the Rihanna project, yeah."
"There's a lot of great people involved but for me I didn't need to audition to be on the record, I'll leave that to younger guys."
Rihanna has been teasing R9 for ages now.
Just last week, the pop star said it's ready but she's not ready to release it yet.
