The Kaizer Chiefs have celebrated their 50th birthday this week and former Amakhosi player and coach Sergio dos Santos revealed who he believed to have been the best player in the club's history.
Dos Santos told KickOff.com that the late Patrick 'Ace' Ntsoelengoe was the best player to have ever worn the Kaizer Chiefs jersey.
The publication reported him saying:
"Ace was the king. I called him 'The Orchestra' as he decided the pace of the match and everything revolved around him. After him is Teenage."
Briefly.co.za previously reported Ntsoelengoe enjoyed a glittering career at Kaizer Chiefs, ever since joining them in 1969.
The star midfielder hung up his boots in 1988, but also enjoyed stints at a few North American clubs during his playing days.
Dos Santos is not the only coach who has sung Ntsoelengoe's praises. Former Bafana Bafana coach, Clive Barker, linked the midfielder to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
"If Ace was here now he'd be spoken of in the same breath as Fernando Torres, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi," Barker was quoted.
