Cake and victory: Chiefs celebrate 50th by winning Highlands Park

The Kaizer Chiefs have celebrated their milestone birthday by winning another South African Premier Division match at a packed FNB Stadium.

Robert Marawa shared photos of the Kaizer Chiefs enjoying cake after beating Highlands Park 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

Marawa captioned the post:

"This is Kaizer Chiefs' 1 462nd league game (today vs Highlands Park) in the club's history since its formation on 7 January, 1970. Goooooaaaaal!"

The club's fans were delighted to see Amakhosi back in wining shape.

Briefly.co.za previously reported the Chiefs have launched a limited edition black and gold kit to celebrate their 50th birthday.

The club has since released more details about the celebrations jersey - which fans dubbed "beautiful".

While speaking about the 50th anniversary of the Chiefs, former Amakhosi player and coach Sergio dos Santos revealed who he believed to have been the best player in the club's history.

Dos Santos told KickOff.com that the late Patrick 'Ace' Ntsoelengoe was the best player to have ever worn the Kaizer Chiefs jersey.
