Emalahleni (Witbank) in Mpumalanga, was hit with heavy rains on Friday and this left certain areas flooded.

According to TimesLIVE, the SA Community Crime Watch Group operations co-ordinator, Maureen Scheepers, revealed they had received reports about several roads that had been flooded.

The flooding in certain areas were of the extent that cars had been swept away. Scheepers said they were notified about cars that had been trapped.

"We received about five calls this morning where vehicles were trapped. When we responded to those calls, we found the motorists had managed to get out of their vehicles so it was just vehicles that need to be towed out," she said.
