Public marriage proposals are becoming commonplace around the world and in Mzansi.

Just recently, South Africans lauded the famous couple who got engaged at a KFC restaurant.

However, a recent proposal has raised the bar tenfold and video of the incident has had a huge global impact via social media.

The video features a couple, Lee and Sthuthi, who visited a cinema to watch a popular Disney animated feature film.

During one of the famous scenes, the two characters suddenly change and bare a strong resemblance to the couple.

It soon became clear that Lee somehow managed to edit the movie scene and customised it to mimic what he was about to do - ask his high school sweetheart for her hand in marriage.

Sthuthi was understandably in disbelief, but eventually said yes, to one of the best proposals in recent times.
