A week packed full with community walkabouts, gala dinners and addresses have all led to this single moment.
The African National Congress is celebrating it's 108th birthday in the Northern Cape this year, selecting the Tafel Lager Stadium as their venue.
Briefly.co.za reported that the annual event is estimated to have set the ANC back over R50 million, with transport for officials, media personnel and supporters accounting for the largest expense.
Saturday sees the annual January 8 statement taking place, with President Cyril Ramaphosa explaining the priorities for the year as set out by the party's National Executive Committee.
Of course, an ANC celebration wouldn't be complete without some of the party's political titans including Northern Cape Premier Zamani Saul, a slew of ministers and dignitaries from across the continent.
Duduzane Zuma managed to steal some of the spotlight, wooing crowds by allowing quiet some time for selfies with his fans.
The former president's son went viral on social media as citizens praised him for his charm and charisma.
With the scene set for another year leading the nation, all that remains is for attendants to enjoy the moment.
Take a look at just a few moments from the occasion below:
