- A Japanese billionaire is searching for a girlfriend to keep him company on a trip to space
- Yusaku Maezawa's voyage around the moon will be filmed for a documentary
- The fashion mogul says he wants to declare his love from outer space and it couldn't be more extra
Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is on the hunt for a girlfriend to join him on the adventure of a lifetime.
The former owner of online fashion retailer Zozo Inc, Maezawa will be the first private passenger on Elon Musk's SpaceX project.
The lovers would enjoy a trip around the moon, filming the trip for a new documentary in what was dubbed an 'attention-grabbing stunt' by News18.
The entrepreneur launched a website to help him find his dream girl, calling for single females over 20-years-old:
"I want to find a 'life partner'. With that future partner of mine, I want to shout our love and world peace from outer space."
His message to those who wanted to apply the 44-year-old told his potential lovers that:
"As feelings of loneliness and emptiness slowly begin to surge upon me, there's one thing that I think about: continuing to love one woman."
The website says applicants have to be interested in going into space and all the preparations needed for it. The lucky lady should also be 'someone who wishes for world peace'.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Maezawa recently offered R129 million to his social media followers in an attempt to spark a debate on the merits of basic income.
