Comedian and actor Eddie Murphy received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Critics' Choice Awards.
The award ceremony was held on Sunday evening and hosted by Taye Diggs.
58-year-old Eddie said it was a blessing to make a living by making people laugh.
He reminisced on his incredible career which has spanned 40 years.
Eddie said, "To make your living making people laugh is the highest blessing on earth. I’ve played everything: a cop, a robber, a doctor, different ethnicities, animals.”
He joked, “I’ve been a donkey. I’ve even played a spaceship once. When young actors come up to me on the streets and say, ‘Do you have any advice?’, I say, ‘Never play a spaceship.’ ”
Briefly.co.za reported that Eddie is currently working on Coming 2 America with our very own Nomzamo Mbatha.
