Lego, Danish toy production company, is set to release 3,898-piece models of Old Trafford stadium as part of the beautiful move to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the iconic Manchester United home ground.
The Billund-based firm made this known in a statement, saying the models would be released early February in a perfect replication of the great stadium, with the players’ tunnel and Sir Alex Ferguson's statue included.
The models, which fall under ‘creator expert’ category, will give Man United fans a dream chance of holding their own Theatre of Dreams.
Manchester United’s director of partnerships, Sean Jefferson, praised the initiative which he said will bring the daring history of the club and the stadium closer to fans and kids.
“Our Old Trafford stadium is as iconic as Manchester United itself and we are proud to be able to bring it to life in Lego form.
"I think everyone has played with Lego bricks at some point in their life, however it’s still amazing to see the level of detail the Lego designers have managed to recreate in this piece.
"We are sure it will be hugely popular amongst Manchester United and Lego fans alike,” Jefferson submitted.
Lego design master Michael Psiaki also said the initiative will be based on the structure of the 110-year-old stadium, while vowing the company will come with good design that will meet all expectations.
"The 110-year-old stadium provided us with so many important locations, features and stories to tell as we constructed this model," Psiaki said.
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za had reported that Sergio Aguero’s sensational treble against Aston Villa was all he needed to move above Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as the most prolific overseas player in the history of Premier League.
The Argentine forward scored three goals against Aston Villa which levelled him above Henry as the foreign player with highest number of goals.
