- Drake was reported to be heading to South Africa and a few other African countries to hold concerts
- It has recently come to light that the musician has no such plans
- Disappointed (and angry) fans have taken to social media to share their feelings on the matter
Fans of Canadian rapper Drake were very excited about his upcoming visit to South Africa. It was reported that the superstar would be coming to Mzansi, Ghana and Nigeria.
However, this is not happening. At least not now.
The website that started selling tickets to the bogus performance has since been shut down, Briefly.co.za gathered.
Now, fans are not only discontented but pretty angry as well. One fan even went as far as saying that men only disappoint.
It's likely that Drake had no idea about this so-called tour of Africa.
TimesLIVE reported that event organiser George Avakian broke the news to peeps who were getting all hyped-up about the visit.
Check out how fans reacted:
Meanwhile, Cassper Nyovest was asked if he would be an opening act for the alleged concert, and he said no.
The rapper stated that he doesn't get excited about performing for other musos since he's successful enough to sell out his own venues.
However, working with Drake would be a big deal for Cassper.
"I’m no longer excited about opening for any international acts in SA because I sell out the venues myself. Collaborating with him would be a dream come true. DRIZZY A SUPERSTAR FOR REAL!!!!"
