From footballer to small screen: Junior Khanye lands TV gig

- Junior Khanye has landed a job as a soccer analyst on iDiski TV's YouTube channel

- The midfielder had his first gig on Wednesday when the Orlando Pirates took on the Mamelodi Sundowns

- Khanye's football career won't take a backseat and he plans on resuming his duties as a player and coach

Junior Khanye can add sports analyst to his CV. The midfielder landed a gig at iDiski TV, the Daily Sun reported.

According to Khanye, the channel wanted someone "who can talk straight about football". The footballer said his history in the sport made him the perfect candidate for the job.

“They also wanted someone who has played the game at the highest level and who understands how to read and analyse the game,” said Khanye.

His new role will not interfere with Khanye's role as a player and coach for ABC Motsepe League club Ngwaabe City Motors, Briefly.co.za learned.

Khanye's first gig with iDiski TV was on Wednesday night when the Orlando Pirates won the Mamelodi Sundowns.

A clip of his analysis was posted on YouTube and fans thought he did a great job.

Emmah Mabusela commented:

Tebello Molefi wrote:
