- WWE fans were saddened when they learnt of the sudden death of Rocky Johnson
- Rocky was a Hall of Fame member and also Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's father
- Dwayne shared a beautiful and emotional message to express how he feels after losing his dad
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and his family are in mourning after the death of his father, WWE Hall of Famer, Rocky Johnson.
Rocky was an inspiration to his son as well as many WWE fans and he broke barriers during his time as a wrestler. Rocky and his fellow tag-team partner, Tony Atlas, became the first black wrestlers to win the tag-team championship.
Dwayne dedicated a post on social media to his dad, who was 75-years-old, expressing how much he loves him and how he always looked up to Rocky.
Part of Dwayne's emotional post read as follows:
"I love you. You broke colour barriers, became a ring legend and trail blazed your way through this world. I was the boy sitting in the seats, watching and adoring you, my hero from afar.
"Dad, I wish I had one more shot to tell you, I love you before you crossed over to the other side. But you were ripped away from me so fast without warning.
"Go rest high."
Briefly.co.za gathered that an official cause of death has not been released yet. All that is known is that Rocky passed away on 15 January in the home in Florida that Dwayne bought for him.
The house was a 'thank you' gift for everything he did for Dwayne's career.
