Meghan Markle's own father has told the media that his daughter has managed to cheapen the British royal family.
Briefly.co.za reported that Prince Harry and his wife announced they will be reducing their official duties in favour of spending more time in the United States.
Speaking to Channel 5, the estranged dad revealed he thought Meghan was throwing away a once in a lifetime opportunity:
“It’s disappointing because she actually got every girl’s dream. Every young girl wants to become a princess and she got that and now she’s tossing that away, for, it looks like she’s tossing that away for money."

Thomas Markle evidently thinks more of Buckingham Palace members than his own child:
“This is like one of the greatest long-living institutions ever. They are destroying it, they are cheapening it, they’re making it shabby. They are turning it into a Walmart with a crown on it now. It is something that is ridiculous, they shouldn’t be doing this.”
The former actresses dad insists that when his daughter chose to marry her prince two years ago she took an obligation to 'be part of the royals and to represent the royals'.
With a private letter sent to Thomas exposed to the media, the father isn't expecting his daughter to reach out any time soon, reports the SABC:
“I can’t see her reaching out to me, especially now … or Harry for that matter, but I think both of them are turning into lost souls at this point. I don’t know what they’re looking for. I don’t think they know what they are looking for.”
