Simphiwe Dana shared with her fans that her daughter, Zandisile, is turning 17 this year and it seems to have been a bit of an emotional realisation for the proud mom.

She shared a snap of her child when she was just a little baby and added a caption that betrayed how she feels.

The singer jokingly added that she's losing her 'ish' - a feeling that many mothers can relate to, especially when they watch their babies grow into self-functioning young people.

Simphiwe also shared that Zandisile has a sneaky habit of making off with her wigs. At least they share the same good taste!

Earlier, reported that the singer had been to court over counter-charges by her ex.

The muso had to appear after her former fiancé, Leshoto Itsweng, laid a counter-charge of assault and crimen injuria against her.

However, the prosecutor did not want to proceed and the case was dropped. Afterwards, Simphiwe shared how disappointed she is in SA's justice system. She opened a case of assault against her ex, which prompted his counter-case.
