A paralysed woman has taken to social media to share the encouraging story of how she beat medical odds and walked down the aisle. It took six months of intense physical therapy for the bride to be able to stand up and walk.
Instagram user chanellescause took to the social media platform to share her incredible story. According to the post, the woman was injured over nine years ago. She underwent electrical stimulation to learn to walk again.
She said that it took a further six months of gruelling physical therapy to be able to walk down the aisle nine weeks ago using a crutch.
Social media users praised her resilience and congratulated her on the nuptials. Instagram user walthallmary65 said:
“You are wonderful in everything that you put your mind to do just keep going it will only get better, cousin Mary.”
