The pupil is seen dancing towards the door and pointing at his wrist to signal the time. When the teacher asks him where he's going, he responds: "I'm going home" in Sesotho.
The video was shared by Twitter parody account AdvBarryRoux along with the caption:
"Your bundle of joy"
The video has gone viral after having been viewed over 26 000 times. Mzansi social media users were left in stitches by the clip. Many blamed the recent Amapiano trend because it has had people doing reckless things in the name of song and dance. Twitter user Anka_bane2 said:
"This one drinks. I can smell it."
"We have always had such characters in our school. This boy is just continuing the tradition."
"He looks like one popular doek-wearing DJ."
"Can his mama open his YouTube channel once. I love him so much."
"Is he crying or that look forms part of the dance?"

While the majority were amused, one social media user was not impressed. Twitter user KQ_Dyonta feels that recording children without the consent of the parents was not right:
"Eish this thing of people DVD(ing) our kids without our consent and circulate the videos kwisocial media is utterly unacceptable"
