On Friday, local snake catcher Jason Arnold was contacted by a family who spotted a large snake on their premises.

Arnold revealed the family spotted the snake in an outdoor toilet and they phoned him. However, with traffic, it took him over an hour to get there and the serpent had enough time to escape the bathroom.

"They told me that whilst I was en-route they saw the mamba exit via the top of the room," Arnold revealed.

The snake made its way towards an area with a huge pile of timber planks, timber poles, asbestos sheeting, sheet metal and other scraps.
