- Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane lavished praise on Themba Zwane following the 2-1 victory over SuperSport United
- Mosimane missed his playmaker for the contest against Orlando Pirates, but Zwane inspired the win over United
- Ricardo Nascimento made a return to the squad as well following months of injury
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was overjoyed to have Themba Zwane back in his arsenal for the match against SuperSport United.
The creative midfielder's influence was on display as he inspired a 2-1 victory for the Brazilians.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Mosimane was left fuming as Zwane was booked in the match against Bidvest Wits.
That yellow card was Zwane's fourth of the season and he was therefore unavailable for the match against Orlando Pirates.
Mosimane made special mention of Zwane following his team's victory in the Tshwane derby.
Mosimane said, "Whenever Mshishi is around, he plays the music. You know the story."
The Downs mentor added, "Look at the midfield today. It's more like we have one man or two more people extra in the midfield because of Mshishi's movements."
The 30-year-old proved once again the value he brings to the Brazilians and they've struggled this season when Zwane hasn't been on the park.
KickOFF.com reported on the recovery of defender Ricardo Nascimento.
Briefly.co.za noted Nascimento's return following an absence in excess of six months.
