The Intelligence Bureau SA posted the clip on Facebook on Wednesday and Briefly.co.za learned it generated 74 000 views in just four hours.
South Africans felt sorry for the motorist and many said it's too dangerous to have any cash with you.

Theo Panka wrote:
"I'm even afraid to drive around with just R5 000 in my pocket, let alone carrying a bank card with money in account. We're becoming prisoners of our own assets."
Kingdom Ndlovu said:
"Well done. You raise your hands, turn around and pray. Your life is worth more. Don’t be a hero to scavengers with guns."
Mncedisi Zungu added:
"Inside job, go back to teller who was helping you and kidnap that person, the truth will come out."
