- Zozi Tunzi has paid tribute to the little feminist girl in a recent now-viral video
- In the footage, the child calls for equal gender roles
- Boity Thulo also praised the young girl for her inspiring and mature words
Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi shared an inspiring video of a little girl preaching gender equality. Zozi applauded the young "queen" and called on all young women to lead from the front lines. Briefly.co.za had previously reported that Boity had also paid tribute to the fiercely feminist child.
In the footage, the girl opens up about the roles in her community regarded as male and female and how they are affecting their lives. She revealed she would want to learn how to herd cattle but it's something not taught to girls because women have to learn how to cook and clean instead.
Zozi shared the video with the caption:
"Reports say we are 108 years away from achieving gender equality and my Queen over here said ,'Wait a minute now, hold my purse'!"
She went on to say that a fearless army is rising and the time to lead the charge was now. Twitter user KMutisi said:
"I love the fact that she didn't just speak about gender equality, she took it further to include racial equality! Africans need to be proud of themselves."
"The boy in the background is a reflection of the kind of men I pray we could find in our households, boardrooms and industries today. Men who applaud women without feeling emasculated."
"She's taking up the space and cementing herself."
