A Grade 4 pupil has written her first book. The 10-year-old author began writing at the tender age of 7. Her book titled, Bizzacar, explores the challenges of obesity in children.
Relebogile Mothema has written and published the book through Bala Books’ children’s book-writing programme. It takes a look at weight issues and follows two characters known as Tarty and Smarty.
Lebo is among the youngest writers in the country. She even illustrates her work, showing the level of detail she has invested.
Her book aims to help the children in South Africa take better care of themselves. The book will also improve their literacy skills and encourage reading.
