Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurković has been in red hot form and already seems to have been an inspired acquisition.
The Serb netted a crucial hat-trick to inspire Chiefs to a famous 5-3 win over Bloemfontein Celtic in December.
Nurkovic's first of those three has also been named as goal of the month.
Briefly.co.za recalls that during that match, Nurkovic's first touch took him away from goal, but away from the defender as well.
He then unleashed a thunderous volley to beat the goalkeeper on his near post.
Some would perhaps feel that the shot-stopper should have guarded his near post better, but the powerful strike was too hot to handle.
It was the second consecutive month that a Chiefs player achieved the feat, as Dumsani Zuma won the award in November.
The news was shared via the PSL Twitter account and fans had a lot to say.
Zakes Njinji (@Zakes_Njinji) questioned the decision:
"This voting system is clearly not working change it @OfficialPSL, a panel of experts must vote for the goal of the month."
Muvhango tshedza (@Muvhangotshedza) added,
"This is truly embarrassing for psl, so no longer funny at all."
