Retired sprinter Usain Bolt recently excited his fans with news that he is going to become a dad for the first time.

Bolt, regarded as the fastest man in history, took to social media to announce his girlfriend Kasi Bennet was expecting his first child.

The 33-year-old shared some stunning photos of Bennet in what looked like a maternity shoot.

Bennet on the day was dressed in a beautiful flowing red dress while flaunting her bulging baby bump.

In his caption, Bolt strongly hinted the couple was yet to know the gender of the baby, but was still excited to welcome their bundle of joy.

“I just want to say a queen or king is about to be here,” he captioned the photo.

Bolt's wife also shared the good news on her own social media, igniting an array of comments of well wishes from her fans.

Bolt and Bennet have been dating since 2014 but only went public four years ago.

Bennet, who is four years younger than her superstar boyfriend, is a great lover of social media and regularly treats her over 285,000 followers to some sultry photos of herself.

It is also notable that Bolt decided to start a family after smashing all records available in the sprint tracks.

Bolt has won the prize in various fields including 100m, 200m and 4X100m relay at three different games.

His glittery life has not been short of controversy as in 2016, at the back of the Rio Olympics, he was caught in a messy controversy involving a Brazil student, Jedy Duarte.

The drama came only months after he went public on his relationship with Bennet.
