Maphorisa has been working hard and it paid off - the muso and producer is a huge favourite with South Africans.

Despite his new success - he even managed to spark Mzansi's first challenge of 2020 - many of his fans miss the Gqom music he used to make.

Maphorisa has been doing awesome things in the Amapiano genre. Along with Kabza De Small, he got the country grooving in all seriousness.

On the Gqom front though, he went quiet.

The soccer player had displayed some less-than-stellar skills on the pitch as of late and social media put the blame all on Maphorisa and Kabza de Small.

Fans say DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small have jinxed the star footballer. Sounds like peeps are putting too much faith in the power of music.
